Basic

2-6 players

The Aelitas are removed from the pack and the remaining cards are well shuffled and  distributed among the players. All players put their piles upside down in front of them on the table. The player who starts is who has most recently watched/read some sci-fi content. Before showing the  card, the player must choose between Martianness (M) or Exploration (E), and counts up to 3. All the players show their first card of their pile. The player who has the highest punctuation in the said category gets all the played cards from the other players. Then the next player clockwise repeats the process.

The winner will be the player who gets all the cards.

Mars
2-6 players

All the cards are dealt, including the Aelitas. The player who starts is the one who has most recently watched/read some sci-fy content. Choose a card and say out loud if you are going to play with the Exploration (E) score or Martianness (M). The

next player must draw a card that outnumbers the previous one. You can pass your shift if you don’t have or don’t want to throw your card. It continues in order until no one can or want to throw more cards, then the player who has thrown the last card removes the discard deck and starts again throwing a card and choosing between Exploration (E) or Martianness.

The winner will be the player who runs out of cards first. The rest can keep playing until there is only 1 player left.

Characters

The minimum number of players is 4, and the maximum is infinite in an even number.

The Aelitas are removed from the pack and the remaining cards are well shuffled.  The players are grouped into two teams. The team that starts the game (Team A) is decided by rock-paper-scissors.

Team A has 1 minute to start with the first round (described below), when they finish, they have to lend the deck to Team B, which starts its 1 minute round with the descriptions. When this minute ends, Team A starts again and keeps passing turns until all the cards have been used. Once the round is over, all  cards are well shuffled and move on to the next round.

Rounds

There are 3 rounds of description:

  • In the first, the cards will be described with the needed amount of words, as long as  the real names, gestures or sounds are not used. The player can’t:

       – Pass the card if they are not able to guess it.

       – Use words with the same roots or associated with the one that appears in the card.

       – Use words that “sound similar”.

       – Translate the word to another language.

       – Spell the word using sounds or letters from the alphabet.

  • In the second round only 1 word will be used to describe the card. In this round the player can pass the card.
  • In the third round  only  sounds and gestures can be used for the description, but nothing more.

Counting the points

When a card is guessed it is placed face up on the table in front of the describing player. Once the round is over the correct cards are counted and written down by each player. It is done like that at the end of each round. The team that has the higher number of guessed cards among the three rounds wins.
