M.Sc. in meteorology in the University of Helsinki, Finland (2002), PhD in meteorology in the University of Helsinki, Finland (2007), both thesis topics on modelling the Martian atmosphere.
Research visits at the Paris Observatory (LESIA) in 2005-2007 working on Mars Express observations of Martian dust.
Post-doc at Service d’Aéronomie (now LATMOS) in France, funded by the French Space Agency CNES 2008-2009, on the Martian CO2 ice clouds.
CNRS staff scientist (permanent position) since 2009 at LATMOS, France: Ice clouds and sulfuric acid clouds on Mars, Venus, and in Earth’s stratosphere.
Interdisciplinary Scientist in the Mars Express mission since 2016.
Editor of Journal of Geophysical Research: Planets since 2019 (Associate Editor since 2016).
Hobbies: various sports from yoga to climbing and mountaineering, handicraft (knitting, crochet, sewing), reading, gardening.
